Corporate Social ResponsibilityCharity Initiatives by OUEColour Our Minds at Overseas Union Enterprise LimitedAs part of its corporate social responsibility programme, OUE launched a fundraising initiative for Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore (MINDS). Through the combined efforts of its staff and Meritus Mandarin Singapore and Marina Mandarin Singapore, SGD$100,000 was raised from donation boxes and cookie sales. 200 MINDS beneficiaries were also invited to a tea party themed Colour Our Minds organised by OUE on 27 August 2008. MINDS is a voluntary welfare organisation catering to the needs of the intellectually disabled in Singapore. Serving around 2,400 people with intellectual disabilities, it currently operates five Special Education schools, three Sheltered Workshops, two Training and Development Centres and two Residential Homes.
